Try not to target everyone at these events and instead spend time with a few people and have a few meaningful connections. Make a point of staying in touch with the people that you meet, they may not be interested in doing business straight away but may be useful down the line.

It is important to be genuine when establishing relationships with clients, in a lot of cases people do business with people that they like. Be patient and show a legitimate interest in your client and it will pay off in the long run.

Take the time to evaluate every aspect of your business and make improvements based on the feedback that you have received.
